Who this is for

Company drivers who want to run their own truck and keep more of what the load pays — but who do not want to buy a tractor outright to find out whether it suits them.

Transam Carriers is a Toronto-based asset carrier, 120+ trucks, our own customs desk and cross-dock in Concord. This programme is open to our own company drivers and to experienced drivers joining us from outside.

How it works

You lease a truck from us and run as an operator on our authority, with our freight and our dispatch behind you. You take on the truck costs, and in exchange you earn on the load rather than by the mile or hour.

We will walk you through the exact numbers before you commit — lease payment, what is included and what is not, fuel, maintenance responsibility, insurance, and a realistic weekly settlement based on the lanes you would actually run. Nothing about this should be a surprise in month three.

What you bring

AZ licence, clean abstract and CVOR
Minimum 2 years verifiable driving experience — this programme is not for new drivers
FAST card or eligibility to obtain one

A clear head about the trade-off: more upside, and the truck's costs are now yours

Being honest about lease programmes

Lease-purchase has a poor reputation in this industry, and often deservedly. We would rather you walk in sceptical and ask hard questions. Ask us what happens if you want out, what happens if the truck breaks, and what a bad week looks like — not just a good one. If the answers do not work for you, staying a company driver with us is a perfectly good outcome and the offer stands.

How we hire

We use an AI phone screen for the first conversation on some roles — you will be told before it starts, and a person makes every hiring decision.
